SOIL MAPPING (PERC TEST)
Sometimes referred to as a "Perc Test", soil mapping is the standard technique used to evaluate soil suitability for wastewater treatment systems (septic systems). Soil characteristics, observed through hand auger borings, along with site characteristics are used to determine the suitability of an area. Based on data collected in the field, a soil suitability report and suitability site map is generated. This documentation can be used as a tool for preliminary site planning, determining development potential, supporting property value, subdivision recordation, and other terrain altering activities.
